The Idiocy of Fanboy Drama

If anyone has at least one friend that is really into either DC or Marvel comics then they will be aware of the apparent war that has been going between the keyboard warriors of the world. Before this starts any animosity I will say how although I have a personal preference there will be no mention of where they fall.

I just want to talk about how idiotic the war that has been happening is, two groups of people who both enjoy to watch films that star very athletic people to fight monsters or people in a skin tight suit. Or, like in the strange case of Green Lantern, a CGI suit with an Incredibles style mask. People complaining about the abundance of Marvel movies that have been doing well at the box office against those complaining about DC’s dark and unexpected tone.

Who cares? Just enjoy the fact that we have gone from the times of the only hope of a team up movie be Patrick Stewart being on screen with a pre-serum Chris Evans on fire or Christian Bale going up against Superman played by Atom. Comics have come into the forefront of popular culture, smashing box office records and creating new opportunities in cinema for creativity. Could we all just pretend that all of our mothers are called Martha and get along?
